• Is a big fan of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (in Brazil) and British Premier League team Chelsea Football Club (London, owned by billionaire Roman Abramovich) • Has large scar on left side of his face and said he suffered the injury when “I was just a baby and my mom wasn’t paying attention for a moment when my sisters rolled me onto the barbeque pit being used for a 1986 World Cup party.” • Raised in extreme poverty in Manaus, Brazil (now fighting out of Rio). Would train Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai, often on an empty stomach or little food. His teammates, such as Wagnney Fabiano, would give him a sandwich or other food to eat. • WEC and UFC featherweight champ who is undefeated in past five years, 8-0 in WEC.
